Two scans, two numbers. That is all.
This is the one reason Prodman ERP gets used where the last system did not. Scan the job. Scan the machine. Enter a number. That is the whole job.
What it looks like now.
- Your floor workers are not software people, and they will not touch a complex screen.
- There is nowhere to enter the day's production, so nobody enters it.
- Job cards cover the first stage or two, then stop.
- 'Is the last stage finished?' is answered by walking over and asking.
- What really happened on the floor lives in a few people's heads.
What changes for you.
- Three taps on a shared tablet. Scan the job, scan the machine, then good and scrap.
- No typing at all beyond those two numbers, and a number pad with big buttons.
- Phone and OTP login, plus a 4-digit PIN so every entry is tied to a person, even on a shared tablet.
- A stage-scoped machine picker. A worker cannot post a binding entry against a printing press, because that list only ever shows machines the stage can run on.
- Per-stage output caps. An entry larger than the stage could plausibly have produced is refused, with a named supervisor override.
- Breakdown reporting from the same screen, so the operator logs a stoppage where he is standing.
- A wrong entry is voided and compensated with an audit trail. Nothing is ever silently overwritten.
- A wrong QR shows a clear picture-based error, so a bad entry never gets in.
- Every entry moves the stage forward and updates work in progress by itself.
Step by step on the floor.
- 1 Scan the job QR
- 2 Scan the machine QR
- 3 Enter good and scrap
- 4 Confirm, and work in progress updates itself
- 1 Scan the job WO-2526-0417
- 2 Scan the machine KOMORI-4
- 3 Good 1,040 Scrap 12
Questions owners ask about this.
The screen is pictures and numbers only. Scan a job, scan a machine, key in two counts. There are no words to read and nothing to type.
In v1 entry needs a live connection. If it drops, the worker sees a clear 'not saved' message and can try again, so nothing is ever lost quietly. Offline entry is on the roadmap.
Each worker signs in with his own 4-digit PIN from the roster. So every entry is tied to a person, even on a tablet everyone shares.
Three things. The machine list only shows machines that stage can run on. An output larger than the stage could plausibly have made is refused unless a named supervisor overrides it. And a wrong entry is voided and compensated with an audit trail rather than quietly edited.
No. Work in progress is not typeable, by the floor, by the office or through the API. It is derived from capture. That is exactly why there is nothing to fall behind on.
Stop putting out fires. Start seeing the floor.
Book a 30-minute demo and we will show you Prodman ERP on a factory like yours. We take only a few factories each quarter, because we set up every one of them on site, by hand.
