How it started
Prodman was built on a real shop floor.
Amit Jindal started Aquevix in 2006 with one simple aim: “Make Software Easy.” Good software is easy for the person using it. For 20 years we built software for Humana, KFC, DaVita and IKEA.
Then Amit visited small and mid-sized factories in India and abroad. The owners were smart and hard working. But even with costly German and Japanese machines, they ran on phone calls, notebooks and guesswork.
Then a book and diary printer came to us, worn out. In ten years he had tried eight times to go digital: ERPs, custom developers, consultants and spreadsheets. Each one fell apart within months.
The reason was clear on our first visit. Every system was built for the office. It asked operators with oily hands to use menus, read English and type. They could not, so they said no.
With nothing recorded at the machine, the owner got made-up numbers or nothing at all. Orders went out late or short. The software industry had built for the boss's report and forgotten the person making the product.
So our team lived on that printing floor for months. We saw job cards go missing, paper run out mid-shift and wrong artwork waste stock. We built something a worker learns in 60 seconds: two scans and two numbers on a tablet. That is how Prodman began.
