Why we built it
Why we exist: to bring calm and clear numbers to factories.
We respect people who make things. Turning paper, steel, fabric or ink into real products is honest work. Small and mid-sized factory owners carry a big share of the economy. Our Why is to make their days easier.
Yet they keep getting heavy software made for big offices. It ignores the floor. So owners spend their days chasing supervisors and fixing spreadsheets that do not match. Running a factory should feel good, not exhausting.
How it started
Ten years, eight failed systems, then Prodman.
For nearly 20 years, Aquevix founder Amit Jindal has worked by one rule: “Make Software Easy.” Since 2006 his team has built critical systems for Humana, KFC, DaVita and IKEA.
But his friends and clients in manufacturing ran multi-crore plants on carbon slips, WhatsApp voice notes and stress.
Then a book and diary maker came to Amit, fed up. In ten years he had made eight separate attempts to go digital: ERPs, custom code, Google Sheets and Airtable, then costly consultants.
None failed for lack of features. Each one asked an operator, busy at a hot, fast press, to stop and fill in English forms. That was never going to happen.
So numbers were logged late, from memory, or not at all. An order of 10,000 diaries shipped 200 short. He walked the floor four hours every afternoon to find where jobs were. In the end he gave up on software and ran the plant from his head.
Amit stood beside that printer’s presses and saw the real problem:
“If an operator cannot use it in five seconds with greasy hands, the owner’s dashboard does not matter. No clean data at the bottom means no truth at the top.”
So Amit put his senior engineers on that floor. They watched material loading, machine stops, last-minute artwork changes and scrap nobody noticed.
They dropped the usual ERP approach and cut data entry to the bare minimum: scan the job card QR code, scan the machine QR code, and enter the good count and scrap count on a big number pad. Three touches on a tablet. No reading, no language barrier, no typing.
It worked at once. For the first time in ten years, every machine reported live. Work in progress updated itself. Waste showed up at the stage it happened, saving millions of rupees in paper. The owner now knows the state of his factory before his first cup of tea. That became Prodman.

Will our operators actually use this, or drop it like the last system?
We designed Prodman around this fear. Logging work takes under five seconds: scan the job card, scan the machine, enter good and scrap on a big keypad. Nothing to read, so operators use it from day one.
How is Prodman different from the ERP we already bought?
Most ERPs start from the accounts and work down. Prodman starts at the machine. It records cutting, pressing and assembly as they happen, so you see problems while you can still fix them.
We run on spreadsheets and whiteboards with no software fees. Why change?
You already pay, just not on an invoice. You pay in wasted material, rush shipments for short orders, idle machines and your own hours chasing supervisors. Our free audit often finds these leaks cost 10 to 30 times more than Prodman.
Can Prodman work alongside our accounting software, like Tally?
Yes. You do not need to replace anything. Prodman handles quotes, material issue, production and dispatch. Your accounting software keeps doing the books.
We tried going digital before, but our team fell behind on updates.
They fell behind because they had to type updates after the fact. In Prodman, nobody can type work in progress, not even through an API. It updates itself when an operator logs good and scrap. There is nothing to catch up on.
Do your AI Employees make decisions or talk to our clients?
No. They work inside the rules you set. They watch the floor, pending proofs, stuck jobs and low stock, and flag them to your staff. They never contact customers or suppliers, cannot close a person's task, and a manager can review and undo every action.
