Materials & buying

Stock that matches the godown. Finally.

Sites, stores and locations, material slips per issue, consumption backflushed from what the floor captured, and a warning before anything runs out. Stock stops being a number somebody maintains.

The pain today

What it looks like now.

  • No control over raw material stock, so you run out at the last minute.
  • When paper runs short you print on larger sheets, waste more, and run around buying.
  • Stock on the system and stock in the godown are two different numbers.
  • Material issued to a job is a paper slip nobody can add up.
  • Leftovers go back to the store and nobody records them, so the next job starts from a wrong figure.
  • Client-supplied material gets mixed with your own.
How Prodman ERP fixes it

What changes for you.

  • Stock on hand with full movement history, by site, by store, by owner and by bucket.
  • Multi-site: sites, zones, locations and storage units, with inter-site transfers on their own number series and gate-out control.
  • Material slips. One checkout document per issue, per stage, with leftovers returned and extra draws recorded separately from settlement.
  • Consumption backflushed automatically from what the floor captured, with a manual issue as the fallback.
  • Material settlement: what was drawn against what was actually used.
  • Client-supplied and consignment stock tracked with the owner intact, so it never merges with yours.
  • Items and materials master with item classes, a configurator and bills of material.
  • Low-stock warnings per item, feeding the dashboard and able to raise a material request.
  • Stock counts with variance reporting, so the godown and the system are reconciled rather than assumed.
How it works

Step by step on the floor.

  1. 1 Set a threshold
  2. 2 Stock drops below it
  3. 3 A warning shows on the dashboard
  4. 4 Raise a material request

Questions owners ask about this.

It warns you early and can raise a material request. Purchase orders with approval and goods receipt are a separate part of the system that ships today. Raising the purchase order automatically from a low-stock trigger is on the roadmap.
